Salve Regina University's Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certificate is an accessible and intensive program designed for professionals who hold an M.S. in nursing and wish to transition their career to an advanced practice family nurse practitioner. Through didactic and experiential learning, we build on your previous training to provide preparation for national certification as a family nurse practitioner.
Our family nurse practitioner program is delivered online in a thoughtful blend of synchronous and asynchronous class meetings. A 40-hour skills-based colloquium on Salve Regina's campus is also required. This combination offers the flexibility required for working adults while also fostering personal connections with faculty that are the hallmark of the Salve Regina experience.

Salve Regina University’s Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) program is a post-master’s certificate designed to strengthen the leadership, clinical and academic expertise of nurses who are seeking to expand their role in nursing education. Through didactic and experiential learning, we build on your previous training to provide preparation for national certification as an academic nurse educator.
Offered online and asynchronously, our post-master’s certificate program addresses a growing need to train registered nurses who wish to enter the complex role of an academic nurse educator. This format offers the flexibility required for working adults while also fostering personal connections with faculty that are the hallmark of the Salve Regina experience.
Our certified nurse educator program utilizes a variety of teaching strategies and learning styles in academic, clinical and health care settings. It provides the evidenced-based practice, scientific knowledge, quality outcomes and leadership skills necessary to equip nurses to specialize in nursing education.
